Bentley Residences is rising 63 stories above Sunny Isles Beach as one of the most technically ambitious residential towers ever built on Florida’s coast. Developed by Dezer Development in partnership with Bentley Motors and Sieger Suarez Architects, the 749-foot structure will house 216 luxury units on a 2.4-acre oceanfront parcel with 200 feet of beachfront.

What will soon become a beacon of coastal luxury began with one of Florida’s largest and most complex mat foundation pours — a landmark feat made possible by the exclusive use of Alliance Concrete Pumps across the entire operation.

A SITE STEEPED IN HISTORY — AND EQUIPPED FOR SUCCESS

To execute that vision, Dezer Development, Coastal Construction, Baker Concrete, Florida Concrete Unlimited (FCU), Ozinga Concrete and Titan Concrete turned to a unified pumping strategy centred on Alliance equipment. The project builds on engineering lessons from the Porsche Design Tower and elevates them into a “2.0 version” — this time with an all-Alliance pumping lineup anchoring the effort. Completion is anticipated for November 2028.

A LANDMARK POUR: FOUNDATION POWERED BY ALLIANCE

The foundation of Bentley Residences stands as one of Florida’s most ambitious engineering undertakings — and a showcase of what a coordinated Alliance pump fleet can deliver.

Marking the largest continuous mat pour in Florida’s history, and the third largest ever completed in the U.S., the 30-hour, nonstop placement demanded months of planning to align city officials, inspectors, contractors, concrete suppliers, pumping teams and traffic control. Beachfront conditions — unpredictable sand, coastal winds, dense urban traffic and batch plants miles away — left no margin for equipment failure.

That risk was mitigated by standardizing on Alliance Concrete Pumps. Geotechnical demands required auger cast piles reaching depths of up to 200 feet. Excavation encompassed a 180-by-180-foot footprint dug 40 feet deep — more than 33,000 square feet — completed over two months. Crews then installed 2,800 tons of rebar in just five weeks to support the 63-story tower above.

The concrete placement itself was a tightly orchestrated feat:

  • 18,522 cubic yards placed
  • 2,058 mixer loads
  • 400 trucks in continuous rotation
  • Concrete supplied from 18 batch plants (nine each from Ozinga Concrete and Titan Concrete)

To sustain the required output, Alliance pumps were tasked with handling a demanding mix: engineered to 8,000 psi with superplasticizer for the mat, with suppliers also capable of producing 16,000-psi concrete for vertical elements. Thermal blankets were maintained for two weeks to regulate mass-concrete temperatures, while quality control testing every 100 yards produced enough cylinders to fill two tractor-trailers.

Throughout this complexity, Alliance Concrete Pumps delivered consistent output, stable pressure and dependable uptime, enabling the team to maintain pace and placement quality without interruption.

ALLIANCE FLEET PERFORMANCE: FLAWLESS EXECUTION

Florida Concrete Unlimited distinguishes itself through scale, precision and a commitment to excellence — advantages amplified by its Alliance-based fleet. With more than 80 concrete pumps, 33 placing booms and over 250 highly skilled finishers, FCU operates at a level few can match.

For Bentley Residences, FCU deployed one of the largest pumping fleets ever assembled for a Florida residential project — and every unit was an Alliance Concrete Pump: 10 active Alliance boom pumps, plus three backup units ranging from 28 to 65 meters.

This depth and redundancy meant that if any challenge arose, another Alliance pump was already in position to keep the pour moving.

Kia Hajifathalian, vice president of Baker Concrete, noted the impact of that capability:

“Jason and his team at FCU did an outstanding job on Florida’s largest concrete mat pour — pumping, placing and finishing nearly 19,000 cubic yards with precision and care. They brought exceptional skill and professionalism, running 10 pumps flawlessly.”

FCU owner Jason Goff directly credited Alliance equipment with enabling that performance:

“The Bentley mat pour demanded perfection, and Alliance Concrete Pumps delivered. Not a single wrench was turned on the pumping equipment throughout this massive pour. I’m doubling down on our commitment to Alliance as our primary manufacturer.”

Clayton White, CEO of Alliance Concrete Pumps, emphasized the significance of the project:

“I am thrilled to see exclusive use of Alliance concrete pumps on this massive pour. It is a testament to our relationship with FCU and the confidence we both have in the equipment and staff.”

For the owner, that dependability translated into a seamless milestone. Gil Dezer, president of Dezer Development, said:

“We are thrilled that the pour went off without a hitch. Every team worked in perfect unison and delivered an exceptional result. Florida Concrete Unlimited brought the right equipment and ran the entire 30 hours without a single breakdown — that’s solid work.”

Equally notable, the operation finished with no injuries — a rare achievement for a pour of this size. The smooth, uninterrupted performance of the Alliance pumps contributed to calmer site logistics, consistent flows and safer working conditions.

NEW BENCHMARK FOR COASTAL CONSTRUCTION — AND FOR PUMPING

From its historic site and visionary design to its record-setting foundation pour, Bentley Residences is poised to become one of the most iconic residential towers in Florida. Yet behind the architecture and branding, the project stands as a powerful case study in what can be achieved when a major coastal high-rise standardizes on a single, high-reliability pumping platform.

By executing one of the three largest continuous mat pours in U.S. history exclusively with Alliance Concrete Pumps — 30 hours, nearly 19,000 cubic yards, 10 active pumps, zero breakdowns — the team set a new benchmark for large-scale, high-risk pours on challenging coastlines.

When complete, Bentley Residences will not only be recognized for its luxury and design, but also as a testament to what coordinated engineering, experienced crews and a fully Alliance-equipped fleet can accomplish together.
